What is InvoiceCraft?

InvoiceCraft is a free, browser-based invoice generator. It helps freelancers, developers, consultants, and small business owners create professional invoices without signing up, paying fees, or installing software. Everything runs in your browser — your data never leaves your device.

Why we built this

Most free invoice tools come with catches: mandatory signups, watermarks on PDFs, limited templates, or hidden paywalls. InvoiceCraft takes a different approach: no account needed, no watermarks, no data uploaded to any server. You fill in the form, preview the invoice live, and save it as PDF or share a link. That's it.

Who is behind InvoiceCraft?

InvoiceCraft is built and maintained by Allen Wong, an independent developer. The project started as a simple tool to solve a common need — sending clean invoices without the overhead of accounting software or online platforms that lock your data.

How it works

InvoiceCraft is a static website — plain HTML, CSS, and JavaScript with no backend server. When you create an invoice:

• Form data is processed entirely in your browser
• Drafts are saved to your browser's local storage (up to 10)
• PDF export uses your browser's built-in print function
• Share links encode invoice data in the URL (base64)

No data is sent to our servers at any point.

Templates

InvoiceCraft offers 14 industry-specific invoice templates, each with sample data tailored to that field:

• Freelance — project work, hourly services, retainers
• Developer — web development, QA, API integration
• Consultant — advisory sessions, strategy, reports
• Hourly — billable hours, time tracking
• Retainer — monthly recurring services
• Design — brand identity, UI design, illustration
• Photography — sessions, editing, prints
• Construction — contractors, labor, materials
• International — cross-border invoicing, multi-currency
• Blank — start from scratch
• Simple PDF — basic invoice with all features
• Self-Employed — sole traders, gig workers
• Proforma — pre-sale quotes, international trade
• VAT — EU/UK VAT-compliant invoices

Privacy

Privacy is a core design principle, not an afterthought. InvoiceCraft uses Plausible Analytics (cookie-free, privacy-friendly) for basic traffic insights. No Google Analytics, no ad trackers, no cookies. Read the full Privacy Policy.
